Join Mimo and Me For “Perfectly Paris”

A TRAVEL PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP | SEPTEMBER 16-19,2025

Join KelbyOne instructor and master of long exposure photography, Mimo Meidany, and me, for a fantastic photography journey in the most photogenic city on Earth:
“picture-perfect” Paris.

When I’m asked which city is my all-time favorite to photograph, my answer is always the same – Paris. It’s a photographer’s wonderland, with another great shot around every corner, and a charm and romance that’s all its own. Paris has it all – architecture (old and new), incredible museums, and majestic cathedrals with a river running right through it all. Did I mention the food? Paris truly has it all.

We split our time between shooting on location and learning and post-processing our images in the classroom.

(Note: This workshop is limited to just 12 participants).

What Makes Paris a photographer’s dream:

  1. Paris is home to some of the world’s most recognizable landmarks: the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the newly restored Notre-Dame Cathedral (short walking distance from our hotel), and the church of the Sacré-Cœur. Instantly recognizable subjects, each with its own character and charm.

  2. The city’s mix of classic and modern architecture is like no other, with its historic bookshops, lively markets, and contemporary art installations — providing a wealth of layers and contrasts to capture.

  3. Paris is considered the birthplace of street photography, and the tradition continues today. The city’s walkability, vibrant street life, and stylish locals make it ideal for this style of photography. Moments of romance, artistry, and daily life unfold on every corner, from cafés to metro stations.

  4. Paris is renowned for its magical light, especially during sunrise and sunset. The soft, diffused light at those hours are particularly flattering, casting a golden or dreamy glow over the city’s streets, bridges, and monuments.

  5. Paris has inspired generations of artists and photographers, from Cartier-Bresson to Doisneau. The city’s artistic legacy is palpable, and its museums, galleries, and creative spirit continue to motivate photographers to seek new perspectives.
