Join Mimo and Me For “Sensational Sydney”
A TRAVEL PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP | Nov. 18-21, 2025
Join KelbyOne instructor and master of long exposure photography Mimo Meidany, and me for an amazing photography journey in one of the most fun and photogenic cities in the world – Sydney, Australia.
My visit to Sydney with my wife is one of my most memorable trips, and I remember being there and thinking what a fantastic location this would be for a workshop. Now it’s finally coming true, and you’re invited to be a part of it all.
The New York Times named Sydney as “One of its top 10 places to visit in 2025,” and you’ll see why. There is so much to see and do (and shoot), and the Aussies are wonderfully warm and fun-loving; there’s so much culture, an exciting energy in the air, and absolutely delicious food around every corner, with so many great opportunities for photographic discovery.
We’ll split our time between shooting on location and learning and post-processing our images in the classroom.
(Note: This workshop is limited to just 14 participants.)
What Makes Photographing in Sydney So Special:
Iconic scenes: The Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge give us world-famous, instantly recognizable subjects against the dramatic backdrop of the city’s skyline.
Diverse Landscapes: From coastal cliffs to city parks, Sydney provides a variety of shooting environments—urban, seaside, and lush gardens—great for creative compositions
Great Beaches: Bondi Beach, Manly Beach, and Bronte Beach give us the opportunity to shoot vibrant shots of surf, sand, and lifestyle culture. One of my favorite shots from my trip was taken at dawn at Bronte Beach (and I had a great breakfast at a cafe right nearby).
Stunning Nightscapes: Sydney’s harbor is absolutely magical at night, and there are viewpoints we’ll visit for creating absolutely stunning images and sweeping nighttime panoramas.
Great sunrise/sunset Vantage Points: Strategic locations like Mrs Macquarie’s Chair and Broughton Street Lookout provide glorious views at golden hour, ideal for atmospheric light.
Architectural Diversity: Spots like Queen Victoria Building and Sydney University add heritage and architectural interest to photo shoots, and you’ve got wonderful old historical buildings and gleaming modern skyscrapers to choose from.
These elements combine to make Sydney an incredible destination for photographers seeking to capture its dynamic beauty, vibrant atmosphere, and fun locals.
