Join Erik Kuna and Me For “Vibrant Vietnam”

A TRAVEL PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP | MARCH 15-20, 2026

Join KelbyOne instructor and award-winning photographer, Erik Kuna, and me for an incredible photographic journey in one of the world’s most fascinating locations: Vietnam.

Join Scott and Erik as you embark on an unforgettable travel photography workshop in Vietnam, one of the most amazing hotspots for creating truly captivating photography.

Hanoi will be our home base as we explore some of the incredible sights, breathtaking landscapes, and jaw-dropping environments Vietnam has to offer, but beyond Hanoi, we’ll be taking an overnight cruise to the world-famous Halong Bay to create some remarkable shots. Each day we’re out shooting on location, then we’re back in the classroom editing the images we took that day (or the night before), in Lightroom and/or Photoshop. After our afternoon siesta, we’re back out shooting with Scott and Erik teaching, coaching, and helping you to make the most incredible images you’ve ever created.

Condé Nast Traveller magazine ranked Vietnam as one of the world’s most attractive destinations, honoring it with sixth place among “World’s Friendliest Countries” and a top 10 “Best Destination” in their Readers’ Choice Awards for 2025. Vietnam also earned the title “Asia’s Leading Destination” for the seventh time at the 2025 World Travel Awards. There’s just no place like it.

Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned photographer, this unique adventure provides inspiration, skills, and memories to last a lifetime—all set against the stunning backdrops and rich culture of Vietnam. This is one you don’t want to miss, but it’s limited to 14 participants and is filled on a first-come, first-served basis, so reserve your spot right now.

(Note: This workshop is limited to just 14 participants.)

What makes Vietnam a photographer’s dream:

  1. Vietnam is one of the hottest destinations for photographers right now, mostly because of Hanoi and the nearby northern provinces, which pack intense street life and dramatic landscapes into an easy home base location. Hanoi gives a classic Asian capital feel, while places like Ninh Binh and the northern highlands offer “wow” scenery with just a short drive.

  2. Iconic City Photo Spots: Within a small radius, we have access to Hoan Kiem Lake, St. Joseph’s Cathedral, Long Bien Bridge and market, Train Street, and lakeside temples like Tran Quoc Pagoda, all of which have become popular for both street and travel photography. Early mornings around Hoan Kiem bring tai chi, ballroom dancing, and commuters, while Long Bien’s markets and the narrow Train Street give dramatic, uniquely Hanoi scenes.

  3. Nearby rural life and rice landscapes: Surrounding villages and provinces where we’ll find terraced rice fields, small markets, and ethnic communities are within a short drive, where we can capture portraits, harvest scenes, and mountain landscapes without ever being too far from our home base in Hanoi.

  4. Hanoi is often thought of as a dream location for photographers because it concentrates rich street life, distinctive character, and varied subjects into a compact, walkable city that changes constantly from dawn to night. There’s a new opportunity around every corner.

  5. Photographers often describe Hanoi as one of Asia’s most “characterful” cities, with weathered facades, tangled wires, French-colonial buildings, and narrow alleyways that create layered, cinematic frames. Combined with moody light, mist, and seasonal changes, the city’s texture gives images a sense of history and atmosphere that is hard to replicate anywhere else.

Don’t miss this “bucket list” destination where you’ll make incredible images, new friends, and experience a unique and diverse culture firsthand and up close.
